Hi fellow runner!

I’m Louise, and I am NOT a professional runner! I’m not even that fast. I’m not a beginner, but I’m not smashing records either. I’m a “somewhere-in-the-middle” type of runner, who goes out for a jog or a run because I genuinely love it. It is my way of keeping fit and healthy, blasting off some steam, and importantly for me, being outside amidst the best of nature.

My Mission:

To encourage anyone and everyone who wants to walk, jog or run, to get out on their legs, breathe in some clean, fresh country air and experience the amazingness Dorset has to offer.

I’m so lucky to have spent my life living, working and travelling between Dorset and Africa. Both my homes have shown me the best of what nature can give us and I want to share that with you.

Living in Dorset is just as full of adventures as being in Africa, and I love exploring the different parts of the county. It might be the seaside one weekend, avenues of tree lined forest the next. Each part of Dorset is unique and I’m so thrilled to be discovering new running routes with you.

About Running Dorset

Have you ever woken up one morning, thought you’d love to go for a run somewhere different and just not had a clue where to go or how to get there?

That’s how I started!

My weekends are now devoted to finding new running routes in different parts of Dorset, with breath-taking views, and ALWAYS a pub to end with!

(I love a country pub, and I can’t think of a better way to end a run than a pint of lemonade and a packet of salt & vinegar crisps!)

Running Dorset is where I want to share all the practical tips and guides for getting to different running routes across the county, what you can expect when you get there, and the must see’s and do’s!

So, if having a run in Dorset tickles your fancy, follow along my journey, and hopefully I’ll see you out there in the hills, on the beaches, or with your favourite pint savouring that amazing post-run feeling.
